The protein is great for chickens too!
Your chickens are adorable. I love the shapes you gave them, especially the necks. They look very huggable.
I need a big bird to hug, that’s been a dream of mine since I was young. I’m partial to peafowl myself, got used to ignoring their calls when my neighbor had some years ago. I saw a snuggly peahen on YT and now that’s my goal.
Thank you! Growing up with chickens definitely helps one get a better grasp on how their necks can move.
(Gentle) handling when they are young is key for easy handling later in life.
Id really recommend it though, our turkey was very soft and very quiet.
I just remembered that my uncle´s chickens were so inbred at one time that the roosters attacked people for no reason.
Every abuse story/art that includes a bestest baby being tormented is automatic gold as far as I am concerned. The bestest shitrat had a good colour and pattern but it’s idiot of a mother choose the wrong farm to crash for such things to make a difference.
Although a lifetime as a breeder or jizz donor might have been a longer torture than just being pecked to death.
This property is just a family, some chickens and ducks, and a livestock guardian dog.
