So, has anyone else noticed these kinds of videos being spammed everywhere on YouTube, especially in the paleo sphere? I just found the sudden influx of one very specific type of content from multiple people at once very interesting. Then I shrugged and thought: “lmao, these would be so popular in the fluffy universe”, so I drew that version. Enjoy.

The ones I’ve seen get you in with like a thumbnail of a prehistoric dude getting eaten by a 50ft alligator then is like 40 minutes of super dry informative stuff. Educational disguised as slop.
Yeah, I occasionally get those plus can you send me the link do did you make that image? Wait, nevermind, I am a dumb ass, I just read the rest of the description
You know, with how, how should I put this, everything (because apparently we’re starting to branch out of actual animals, or at least some the newer people are), they seem to be getting, I can’t say I’d be surprised if one of these eventually showed up
The thumbnail should be a foal coming out of the birth canal straight onto a chute into a meatgrinder
They’re all shitty knockoffs of one guy called James Toland who makes a series of videos called “Your Life As A(n) {insert species}”. The difference is that his videos are actually funny and unique with their Stylistic Suck drawings and deadpan humor.
Good notice. I’m glad I’m not the only one.
I really love how squishy you’ve made this chirpy!
That cheeper’s cheeks!
It amuses me that you think that this trend is limited to the paleo sphere lol
A lot of stuff that uses the formula involving this style of thumbnail is almost entirely AI-based. Not so much paleo crap, but the same trend exists in the military history youtube community and it’s infested with garbage AI content that regurgitates the same information over and over and over.
As a metalworker, I get shit like this often and I fucking hate it
Another one I got recently was “I let ai design a knife and made it” and I’m just like “SO?!”
I can only report on what shows up in my feed, and when I’m not working, writing, or shouting racial epithets at a ten ear old laptop for crashing during a game of TF2, I’m looking up dino shit on YouTube.
