I believe wild aquafluffs are like mermaid/sirens but more on accident than as a hunting way, inviting them to play and tragically drowning the land fluffies. Same with some earthies pulling aquas out of the water believing they’ll die (cause wawa bad) just to let them die drying in the sun and perish.

How many water-type fluffies are there? Salt water, fresh water, needs atmosphere like dolphins or whales, needs oxygenated water like fish, fine either way but needs to keep wet…?

As always depends on head canon. But at least in mine aqua fluffies can swim in any water just like regular fluffies can eat almost anything, they breath oxygen from air and water kinda like an amphibian, and just like them is the heat and dehydration what kills them on land.
