Research Log: Bio-Toy Development
Date: Febuary 1st, 2015
Researcher(s): Dr. Hanson Lauren
Objective: To create a small biological organism with unique properties and characteristics using genetic engineering techniques.
I was admired by the executives at Hasbro for my L.T.(Living Toy).
They proposed changes to certain aspects of the project to suit their corporate requirements.
Some of these modifications are logical but others are absurd!
They think Bio-Engneering is just throw everything into a big pot and then poof!
You get the perfect result with out any fail.
They attain the ideal outcome without any failures.
The wanted outcome requires several trials and some time to achieve.
Why do I have to work with such restrictions and limitations as an artist when my creativity is so vast?
(I have listed these mandates and changes with-in my notes.)
-
Executives Notes -
-
The term “Living Toy” may evoke a sense of fear or unease,
therefore it is recommended to alter it to “Bio-Toy” in order to enhance its appeal to both children and adults,
thereby increasing brand recognition. -
The project in question is required to incorporate the intellectual property owned by Hasbro, specifically that of My Little Pony.
-
It is imperative that Bio-Toy(s) do not possess the capability to fly or employ any form of sorcery,
as this measure is necessary to avert potential litigation in the future. -
Bio-Toy(s) must appeal to collectors in order to increase sales. Offering a variety of collectibles can lead to greater success in the market.
-
It is imperative that individuals purchase the corresponding accessories for Bio-Toy(s).
-
Bio-Toy(s) ought to facilitate the gathering of individuals who possess Bio-Toys.
-
It is imperative that Bio-Toy(s) are designed with safety as a top priority,
ensuring that they are suitable for individuals of all ages. Additionally,
it is essential that these toys possess a universal appeal, catering to individuals of every sex, gender, and race.
Ugh, I guess I’ll start on the test in a couple of days.
I can’t do it now because I’m still waiting for all the damn supplies and tools I asked for to be delivered to the lab.
And honestly, I need a break from all those self-centered jerks who think they’re better than everyone else.

Objective: To create a small biological organism with unique properties and characteristics using genetic engineering techniques.
After a brief waiting period, I was granted access to the Hasbio building,
which proved to be well-equipped for my experimental needs, with the exception of a few necessary pieces of equipment.
Upon successful delivery of said equipment,
I eagerly anticipated the arrival of live animals to study their unique characteristics and behaviors.
However, to my surprise, Hasbro only provided animal sperm and petri dishes containing their DNA.
Furthermore, I discovered that there was no designated Animal Room available for my use.
As a solution, I will be utilizing the one-way mirror rooms as a substitute for observation,
allowing me to closely examine the test experiments. Fortunately, there are six of these rooms available in the lab,
which will enable me to maintain a controlled environment for my experiments and keep them separate from one another.
I will begin the test once DNA extraction and fertalization is succesful.
Test Experiment: P0N1
Researcher(s): Dr. Hanson Lauren
Research Date: December 10th, 2015
Objective: Creating The perfect BIO-TOY
Physical Characteristics:
-
Body size and shape:
P0N1 appears to be approximately
3 inches tall and weighs around weigh between 40 and 140 grams (1.4 and 5 ounces).
P0N1 subjects body is stout and a little chubby,
with Hazelnut brown fur covering its body, Light goldish tan for its main and tail.
and white highlights around on its muzzle and hoozes. -
Limbs and extremities:
P0N1’s limbs are quit small and stubby, -
Eyes and vision:
P0N1’s eyes are small and a Dark Brown , and are highly sensitive to light.
P0N1 possesss a panoramic view due to their side-positioned eyes, providing a wider field of vision.
Their vision is similar to humans in terms of color spectrum and visual acuity,
evolvedThese adaptations include greater sensitivity to movement and lower visual acuity.
Additionally, ponies have a visual streak that enables them to focus on objects quickly and accurately. -
Teeth and bite force:
P0N1 possesses specialized teeth, including 12 incisors and 24-28 molars,
for cutting, slicing, grinding, and chewing their food.
Additionally, through genetic coding, P0N1 is programmed to only bite when eating food,
but if a individual has leftover food residue on their hands or fingers P0N1 will belive it is food and bite.
Behavioral Characteristics:
- Personality and intelligence:
P0N1 exhibits minimal personality and intelligence, relying solely on its instincts and innate
Furthermore, it lacks the ability to comprehend human language,
rendering it incapable of recognizing commands or responding to verbal communication.
As a result, P0N1 tends to wander aimlessly when spoken to or given instructions.
In terms of bodily functions, P0N1 produces fecal matter in the form of small pellets similar to that of a rabbit,
and also expels urine in small streams. However, it is unfortunate that P0N1 is not cognizant of its defecation,
and may do so while standing, walking, or even eating.
-
Diet and eating habits:
P0N1’s dietary regimen primarily comprises of oats and vegetables, with the added ability to consume meat.
Interestingly, when presented with a swedish meatball roughly half its size, P0N1 consumed it without any hesitation.
Furthermore, P0N1 has the capacity to consume and imbibe up to half its body weight to sustain itself throughout the day. -
Social behavior:
Owing to P0N1’s innate intelligence, instincts, and disposition,
it refrains from approaching individuals unless they offer a piece of food.
Attempting to brush its mane elicited neighs of terror and panic,
prompting P0N1 to frantically run around and defecate out of fear. -
Physical abilities:
P0N1 possesses the ability to trot and gallop akin to that of a horse or pony.
However, owing to its size and bone structure, it is susceptible to bone fractures if subjected to rough handling.
Additionally, P0N1 may experience a catatonic shock as a result of social testing,
which could potentially lead to fatality due to fear.
Such an outcome could result in a detrimental impact on the relationship between the owner and the brand.
Conclusion: I have just created a litteral Little Pony.
In light of the findings from the preliminary research, it is evident that P0N1 is unsuitable for public presentation.
Its diminutive size not only renders it capable of being injured but also incapable of distinguishing between food and body parts due to its intelligence,
thereby posing a potential hazard to young children aged between 5 and 10 years.
The likelihood of neglect or accidental abandonment leading to the loss of this Bio-Toy is also high.
To illustrate, consider the scenario of a child leaving a hamster inside a toy box or failing to provide sustenance to it for over a week.
Given these concerns, it is imperative that further testing be conducted. Regrettably, the outcome of such testing may necessitate the euthanization of P0N1.
