Fluffy Timeline and Production History

.
1982 - Hasbro has record breaking profits and begins to expand into other markets such as consumer electronics, automotive, food production, medical and pharmaceuticals, bio-engineering, and military R&D.
.
.
1989 - Hasbro’s bio-engineering department is fully realized in the form of the HasBio subsidiary company.
.
.
1990 - Research into bio-toys begins, dubbed project “Pastel Soap”
.
.
20XX - Model I (Beta) Fluffies still in development are released by an extremist cell of the PETA organization believing unethical animal experimentation was being carried out, not knowing the actual nature of Fluffies.
.
.
20XX + 1 year - Model I Fluffies officially released to public. Still heavily flawed but has some improvements over “wild” Fluffies. Programing is extremely susceptible to degradation in subsequent generations.
.
.
20XX + 5 years - Model II Fluffies officially released to public. Minor improvements to behavior, programming and physiology. Official policy of HasBro is to have Fluffies spayed and neutered in stores.
- Most of the specialty Fluffy breeds are created and/or released around this time; Sea Fluffies, Garden Fluffies, Micro-Fluffies, Breezies, Hunting Friends, etc.
.
.
20XX + 6 years - Trials and litigations finally end around the creation and PETA release of the Fluffies. PETA is all but destroyed by Hasbro shifting blame to them. Under pressure from the US government HasBio is officially dismantled but is actually absorbed back into Hasbro and continues to do research and release product through the new Company of Fluffco.
.
.
20XX + 7 years - Foal-In-a-Can vending machines are released and set up around the US and parts of Mexico.
.
.
20XX + 8 years - Foal-In-a-Can vending machines are discontinued and production factories shut down or repurposed. Some machines still exist and operate in Mexico.
.
.
20XX + 9 years - Model III Fluffies are released to the public. Significantly more intelligent and durable than Model I’s with many programming fixes.
- Research into Fuzzies begins under the name project “Dark Horse.”
- Construction of Sketti-Land begins
.
.
20XX + 10 years - Sketti-Land opens to the public. - The Cleveland incident occurs. Hasbro manages to escape prosecution by shifting blame to rogue employees and corrupt local government officials. Feral Fluffy population in the continental US reduced by over 60%.
.
.
-20XX + 13 year - Radiation in the “Cleveland Dead Zone” finally die down to acceptable safe levels. Area still patrolled by military for public safety and containing radioactive mutant fluffies.
.
.
20XX + 15 years - Model IV fluffies are released. This model is largely the same as the previous model except they are grown in artificial wombs which allows for more efficient and reliable means of producing product with desired traits. The process still require the gametes of existing fluffy stock to start.
.
.
20XX + 30 years - Model V fluffies released to the Public. This model is not breed but created through organic 3D printing with advanced programing built in.
It should be noted that most of the negative characteristic, behaviors, and general stereotypes surrounding Fluffy Ponies can be traced back to the Model I’s and II’s as well as their descendants.
In addition there were numerous Fluffy “patches” a deluxe additions in between official Fluffy Model release such as Fluffy Model IIS, the Fluffy Model III-3, and the very confusing Fluffy Model I-V.
