I am reminded of the old Booru “slaps for skettis” game.
A mummah would be invited to play a game.
You start by feeding her all the skettis she can eat, a bowl at a time.
Then you explain to her that each bowl of skettis costs a slap to the no-nos.
Except that the rules are such that every one of her kids also gets a slap to the no-nos, and if she whines about it, that means more slaps.
In the end, of course, mumma gets her no-nos slapped until the ruler breaks.

I love the agony in the purple one’s face, and terror in the black one’s face as he knows what’s coming next. Oh, how I would love to punish every conceivable slight with a whip to the no-noes!
