A New Beginning pt.3

Written by CoronaryHeatingProcedure

Sweet and you enjoy each other’s company and watch your herd be relaxed for a change.

Smarty was always harsh to you and your friends but you were too scared to leave. There was safety in numbers, safety you wouldn’t have once you left.

At least you feel safe here.

“Screee!”

You’re startled by a weak scream, whipping your head towards the sudden noise. Did you give hurties to a cleany baby by accident?

"Ugwy babbeh ge’ way fwom soon mummah! " a yellow and purple mare shouts at the tiny thing she had flicked away with a hoof.

That mare is Sunny.

You can’t exactly remember who her special friend is but it’s probably one of smartie’s toughies.

She is one of those mares that only wants the best of the best. You could never wrap your head around it. If you’d have babies you’d give huggies and love to every single one!

If only you were pretty enough to get a special friend…

“Iz zewe a pwobwem?” A deep dark red monster emerges to investigate the situation.

“Stupi ugwy babbeh twy steaw miwkies fwom tummeh babbehs!” Sunny complains loudly, looking at the thing with disgust.

Poor baby! You want to run over but you’re too scared to get hurties for doing so.

The monster walks over to it and it’s clear that something’s very wrong. The cweanie baby chirps in distress as its siblings flock around it to cuddle it better.

“Ou hewt wittew kweanie fwuffy.” the monster says angrily, bearing it’s fangs at Sunny. “Nu du again ow gawnet gif ou weasun’ tu skwee.”"

She picks up one of them, a brown one, and strides back towards Sunny, head high in a show of dominance.

“Nu wan!” The yellow mare protests, moving away.

“Fwuffy nee be kwean ow gawnet nu kan vet gu tu ozza fwuffies!”

“Gu way munsta mawe! Sunny gib sowwie poopies!”

With that she turns and lifts her tail, spraying the monster with stinky poopies, making it flinch away and drop the fluffy it was holding right into the pile of feces on the floor.

It stands there frozen, face scrunched up as it looks down at its ruined fur, growling, hissing under its breath, its body shuddering and tongue pushing drool out of it’s mouth.

Your hear-places shift back but you can’t get your see-places to look away, frozen in horror.

You vaguely remember what happened to smarty, you didn’t want to know what would happen to Sunny.

You hear Sweet whisper something about “bad fwuffy” as she looks up over your shoulder, clearly knowing what will happen.

Sunny doesn’t seem to notice. She huffs and swishes her tail looking victorious.

“Soon mum- SCREEEEE!”

The monster mare jumps her, clenching it’s teeth over her scruff and pushes her against the floor roughly.

“NUUUUUUHUUUU! WET GUUUUU SCREEEEEEEEEE!!!”

It bites down hard, drawing boo-boo juice. Sweet pulls your head towards her chest as you exhale shakily.

You can hear Sunnie’s screaming fading as she is no doubt escorted out the room.

“Huuu…hu…” you cry into Sweet’s fur, scared they would take you next.

“It otay Owib, Sunny am bad fwuffy. Neba be bad fwuffy gain.”

“Huuuuhuuuu. Owiv scawed!”

Sweet hugs you tighter, laying her head on yours.

“Wed fwuffy am pwotecta. Nu gib hurties tu Owib!”

You don’t really understand.

“Huh? Nu huwt Owiv?”

“Onwy bad fwuffies, Owib nice fwuffy! Wub Owib!”

“Wub Sweet” you coo, your fear all but forgotten until the screaming gets louder again, muffled this time.

You both turn your attention to the newcomer, Sweet with a bright smile, you with uncertainty in your heart.

“Ownah!” she exclaims excited as she stands up and wags her tail like a barkie monster.

The stranger is carrying Sunny in their arms with something covering her mouth, monster mare trotting behind them. She is… Crying?

“Huuuhuuu! Ownaaahaaahaaaa! Gawnet nu smew pwetty! Huuuu! Poopies wuin pwetty fwuff! Huuu!”

They stop in front of one of the walls and take something from there, putting it on the floor and Sunny into it so she can’t use her leggies anymore and pushes her towards the little fluffies so they can clean her.

Sunny, of course, doesn’t like it one bit, thrashing around to get away but there is little she can do.

“Garnet, I am disappointed in you. You know that you’re not supposed to draw blood!” they said, turning to the dark red mare.

“Huuu…”

“Go, get yourself cleaned up. We’ll talk about your punishment later.”

“Bu-”

“No buts! You are responsible for keeping everyone safe, not hurting them to the point they are bleeding. Now go!”

You were afraid of the monster fluffies at first but as Garnet leaves, whimpering and crying, you feel like you’re not so different after all.

The strange person you only know as “owner”, turns their attention back to Sunny.

You don’t quite get what they are doing but it looks like they are covering Sunnie’s boo-boos with something.

Once they’re finished, they look over the room.

“So, I see you’ve made yourself comfortable.”

They have your attention as well as everyone else’s as far as you could see. Sweet waves you goodbye as she takes her leave, assuring you you would meet up again soon. You were a bit unsure but you trusted her. Then the human spoke once more.

“Welcome everyone, my name is Sire Heartwarming. I am what you may know as your new mummah or daddeh…”

Immediately a plethora of voices could be heard, stopping them in their explanation.

“Weawy?!” “Be new mummah?” “Wub daddeh!”
“Huggies!?” “Mummah!” “Get toysies?”

The reaction is overwhelmingly positive, even you find yourself smiling widely at the idea of a parent.

You had always wanted a human you could cuddle with and bring joy to. You remember giving up on that dream many forevers ago but now you finally made it!

“Hey, slow down everyone!”

Your herd is clambering at their feet for attention as if it were a competition. You would have done the same but once again held back, fearing rejection or worse.

“STOP!”

All was still again except for some slight huuhuuing. They breath a sigh.

“Look… Call me ‘Owner’ or ‘Sire’, alright? Now listen…”

You manage to get closer and sit between your herd members, listening closely.

“You probably have a long journey behind you and I can tell you are tired and hungry so I want to get this over with as fast as possible.”

Sire turns towards the little cleany babies.

“Are they good to go?”

“Aw cwean! Chirp!” One of them responds, others cheeping happily.

“Good job.” they coo, giving them some well deserved scritches and pets. “Thank you for the help.”

And back into their tunnels they went, repeating ‘Wub’ over and over between various chirping noises.

“Well now… Before I let you go to be with your new friends I want to get to know you a bit better first.” as they look over everyone, they come to a stop at you. “You over there, all green”

You suddenly feel very nervous as everyone stares at you.

“Aw, you don’t have to worry little one. Let me get down.” They take a seat on the floor, doing weird motions with their hands. “You don’t have to be afraid of me.”

Slowly, keeping your distance from your herd members, you make your way towards them. Is this a sleepie picture?

“There you go.”

They pick you up gently and sit you down in their lapp, stroking your mane. It feels so good.

You lean into the soft touch of your owner, enjoying every second until they pull away. You can hear some other fluffies complaining but you don’t care, neither do they.

“Do you have a name?” they ask, holding a pen and paper.

“Namesie am Owiv, ownah.” you reply, getting more comfortable.

“Are you a mare or stallion?”

“Owiv am mawe, hab miwkie pwaces.”

They scribble something down again.

“Okay Olive, do you have a special friend?”

“Um…”

You look away for a moment, getting a bit sad.

“O-Owiv nu hab speshul fwend, ownah. Owiv nu am pwetty mawe.”

Something changes in their demeanor.

Sire had looked interested, amused even, but now they had this mix of shock and confusion as your words sink in.

Did you make your new owner upset? You don’t want to be a bad fluffy…

“Olive…”

“Yus…?”

They look deep into your see-places, their smile gone.

“Why do you think you’re not pretty?”

Your brow creased as you tried to recall. It never crossed your mind to use your thinkie-place to know why you were not pretty, it was just something you had come to accept as fact.

“Owiv nu kno…”

“Olive…” a soft hand guides you to look up at your owner. “I don’t know who told you that but it’s nonsense. I think you are a very pretty mare and I don’t want you to call yourself ‘not pretty’ ever again.”

You didn’t know what to say, staring wide eyed at the revelation.

“Do you promise?”

After blinking your daze away and closing your mouth you nod slowly.

“Owiv pwomis.”

“Good girl.”

It takes no time at all for them to carry you to the exit but everything feels like its happening in slow motion. Your thinkie-place struggles to keep up with what’s happening around you.

Your hoovsies touch the ground as you’re lowered back down onto a small path.

“Get some rest Olive, the others will help you if you need anything.” and with that, they were off to meet the remainder of your herd.

Sweet had been waiting patiently for you and rushes over to give you a big hug.

“Owib! Sweet nee sho’ Owib aw homesie! Su cited! Wan pway an’ gib huggies an’ an’…! …? Owib?”

“sniff…huuu…” why do your see-places water again?

“Is awite Owib. Wan nummies?”

“huu… yus…”

“Otay, fowwow Sweet.”

She wipes the water away with her hoovsie and leads the way. You follow closely behind, wondering what awaits you, a small smile on your face.
