small enclosure (InfraredTurbine)

A comic I made other day but didn’t color it properly, so I decided to leave it like that

spray some air freshener like febreze or something and see what happens

Right on his stupid face.

Or, just cauterize it’s nostrils, no more complaining… But then he wouldn’t be suffering

This is the sort of box you put in the closet or out in the trash pile.

Who on the design team decided to make them so sensitive to smells?

Probably to counteract their tendency to be incontinent little shit machines. Imagine how much worse it would be if they were actually okay with wallowing in fecal matter.

On one hand, i feel bad for the little bastard. Dude’s just asking for some basic care.

On the other. I too fucking HATE having my sleep interrupted…

Fluffies deserve nothing.

A whole housie just for that little guy and it’s still not enough

maybe he’ll learn to appreciate what he’s been given

It’s probably all the random dna that they shoved in there. And also them trying to make the fluffies detect spaghetti easily and beg for it.

Yummy yummy microfluff fun. Tons of suffering in a tiny package!

“fluffies deserve nothing”

I feel the same way about all pets that cannot speak.

The talky ones like fluffies and children are alright, tho. But they’re still pets.

I’m reminded of the stories that boomers tell of their childhood when they were just told to go get groceries when they were toddlers, or sent to the movie theater with a dollar as cheap daycare.

Disposable and problematic. SINCE WHEN DID KIDS AND PETS BECOME SO FUCKING SACRED?!

… If anything, fluffies are sacred because they were actually created with a purpose. They didn’t just arrive on a generic lottery. But sacred to wub and sacred to give forebah sweepies.

Your choice.

This could be taken further. Just have a few fluffies in a shoebox and pour their food directly into it, they’ll learn to stack their poop in the corner or suffer more

Even if this is sarcasm, its bloody psychotic.

No wonder most furry fans want nothing to do with fluffies.

More like something they didn’t have time and/or understanding to deal with it.

The olfactory cortex is really important in all mammals. Its directly linked to basically the entire limbic system, so the memory-forming hippocampus, the emotional regulation of the hypothalamus, and the amygdala which communicates between the two and amplifies them as well as maintaining the function of the autonomic nervous system. So instinct.

That’s basically the entire prefrontal cortex, AKA “the really fucking complicated part”.

There’s a great quote, “If our brains were so simple we could understand them, we would be so simple we wouldn’t understand anything.” (Paraphrased for clarity)

While there hasn’t been a decent explanation of how the hell Programming works in them, its easier to say we created an organ which replicates with existing impulses via some kind of extra uterine organ and hooked it up to the neo-cortex of fetuses in development than saying the scientists had such a complete understand of the brain that they could build one from the ground up like a computer programmer with nothing but free time and no internet/peers to steal from.

Whatever the genetic base, that’s probably a mostly unmodified version of its sense of smell. They may have tweaked the hormone regulation and responses, but otherwise wide swathes of the brain are probably unaltered beyond wherever the Programming comes from. Which is kind of how computer programmers actually work, copy as much existing code together and plug in some minor changes so it kinda works.

Eh, not all that different from the overly dark furry webcomics of the early 2000’s. I don’t think many exist anymore though, the younger gen may not have ever suffered reading them. Might be due to furries getting a lot more acceptance, and middle American religious background causing intense guilt and dysphoria not being as prevalent.

To clarify, I wasn’t referring to the comic, I have no problem with it. I was responding to the comment that complained that pets and children in the real world were overly valued.

Abuse art is valuable in that it gives people an opportunity to imagine things that they would never do in real life. Its important to maintain that distinction.

In short, I think the furry community suspects that some members of the fluffy community are a little too enthusiastic about animal abuse. This is much less of a problem here, but back on 4chan or the 'booru, well…
