From Croc’s comments on Reddit: Charlie was the one who killed the Fluffies in the alley, not humans. If fans voted kill him, he is just Hellgremlin trash. Kennedy was aware this was his backstory when the vote was happening. But time rewrote itself around her when sparing him was chosen so they were trying to hurt him and it was berserker self-defense like a samurai movie.
Kennedy knows that her author isn’t afraid to change the world so her character avatar is in the right, but Kennedy doesn’t get a redo.
My prediction? She’s being set up as the Zuko redeemable villain.
But by questioning her own agency, she may refuse to play that role and be a real pure evil villain.
Or.
Refuse to accept being the villain in the first place. Have a Duck Amuck moment of refusing to play the part and demanding a redo in her own favor?
