I love that I got a valid reason to repost this doodle. I originally made this back on the booru to complain about the ridiculously terrible tag situation they had, with several variations of every major tag, typo tags, mis-tagged names, etc. I helped a bunch with cleaning it up at the time.

And now I’m a janitor here! Things I’ve done:
Beefed up the pokemon as much as I could and added content to some other minor tags (like balloon)
Added freezing as a synonym for frozen
Added tags for prejudice, circus, and amusementpark-fair - I’ve filled in the circus tag, but prejudice is too intimidatingly common for me so I doubt I’ll get around to it anytime soon.

And now I’m opening the floor for you guys! What are your tag needs? Is there a tag that you think needs beefing up? Is there a tag you think we should add or remove or even combine with another one? Add a tag synonym? Or maybe you just wanna rename/expand a tag you feel is too narrow? Bring it up here!

I can’t promise I’ll do everything asked because we have a lot of stuff and no pagination and big changes need approval from the proper mods. I really am just a mouse with a broom, my workload capacity is very small.

Addendum: Remember, we have a limited amount of tags. If we add too many, the site will begin to lag and it’ll get more difficult to find anything. If you want to suggest a new tag or split, please make sure it’s something that would get a lot of use and isn’t covered by an existing tag.

To reduce tag bloat I think that ghost should be folded into supernatural.

Please separate spayneuter into castration and spaying.

Also fluffies as toilet paper.

May I ask why? The two are largely the same thing, just with different sexes, so it’d feel like a rather arbitrary change that just adds bloat.

As for fluffy toilet paper, is there enough content like that to warrant a tag?

Yeah the two cover the same topic. There definitely isn’t enough spaying content to justify a standalone tag…most people prefer the visceral imagery of an explosive abortion (which we do have a tag for)

I like the word castration and spayneuter sounds lame. But I get it.

Fluffies as TP used to be an old thing. Maybe not enough content in recent times.

Hiding? Maybe hiding behind hooves?

I think the issue may be an ambiguity as to whether it falls into “fluffies as tools” preventing it from getting tagged with that tag and as a result preventing it from being findable at all

We have a tag for regular science which only has 222 entries, I don’t think splitting it up further with mad-science would be a good idea…

I see I see. But still, is it common enough to warrant its own tag? It’s not feasible to make a new tag for something with only 5 posts, so I think some example links would be needed to prove it’s common enough to tag.

Amputation-as-punishment would be nice, i think i mentioned disability not existing outside of disabled-foal in the other thread.

Looking through some of my posts there’s no tag for any sort of police i could find. I also wish we had a name for that shock brain reset shit that’s pretty common. Electrical exists but the reset is a specific trope i’d like to be able to seek out. I may have just missed the tag if it exists, though. In looking through them i found out working-fluff was a thing and i was going to complain about that. At some point today i’ll look into adding tags to my own works.

Ace wants a tag for fancy dressed fluffies if there is enough content for that and I would like a competition tag for hunger games style events and stories

! UPDATE !

@Ace playing-pretend is now a tag! We decided against merging ghost with supernatural, but an alternate option would be to expand ghost into an #undead tag, allowing for skeletons and zombies (which tend to go untagged due to being science gone wrong) too. Still being discussed.
@Vee - soon-mummah has been added as a synonym for pregnant-mare, which should hopefully lessen the amount of untagged pregnancies.
@Maple - we decided against amputation-as-punishment (needlessly dividing a tag by cause) or reset (too niche, not likely to get more content). A tag for police is a good idea, especially if expanded to include firefighters and stuff too, but it’s still being discussed cuz we don’t know what a good name would be yet.
@Carniviousduck #chicken has now been renamed to bird, which means ducks are officially taggable!
@bdfdsbf I’ve decided to hold off on creating a hiding tag. It could be created, but it doesn’t feel like anyone would care about it, either, making it a lot of work for no gain. If people grow interested in having such a tag, it could be made later on.

If you can add synonyms, why not add castration and spaying as synonyms for “spayneuter”? I remember personally struggling for like a minute to identify the tag for castration.

Synonyms still count as tags, so we need to be conservative with them. #spaying is too close to spayneuter to be necessary, but I will bring up the idea of making #castration a synonym!
