Twist Their Knickers! (Aug 2025 Theme Week) - Community Posts - FluffyCommunity story for the theme of the month @anon88967024
Whenever you complain about stallions running away you ask people why don’t you castrate them, the most common response is “noo poor things, how could I do that to my little fluffie, he’ll get depressed”. You know if they did it at a young age, it wouldn’t happen, but people are stubborn.
You propose an alternative, direct castration does create a sense of loss and putting a rubber band on it just makes it take longer and cuts off the scrotal coirculation with the possibility of tissue loss and the possibility of sepsis.
checking my twitter timeline I found the famous “testicular torsion” spell meme which as a man of simple tastes made me laugh, but I added 2+2 and I had an idea, but I had to test first, fortunately, my fluffie managed to convince me to have offspring and her babies were big enough to talk, but they were still drinking milk and their vocabulary was very limited, a litter of 7 males, it would seem that it was fate that wanted me to perform this test.
obviously i skipped consulting the fluffie if she wanted all her babies to participate in the experiment. being fluffies they have no right of reply, but to avoid complaints from her, i proceeded to give them melatonin gummies to make them sleep soundly. i divided the group in 4 in different groups to 2 would be a light twist, 2 a medium twist 2 a very aggressive twist and the last one would do it to the point of rupture of the tubules.
honestly the one about the rupture was for personal pleasure, that little guy was the “best baby and he was an insufferable little jerk even with his limited vocabulary all day long saying ‘wan’ and ”besttes babbe need" if he dies better for me .
the first week was the worst, they complained of pain in their “special wumps” especially the little sucker who cried all day long, his mother was worried but I assured her that it was because they were growing up to be “big stallions” that reassured her.
After 2 weeks I could see the differences being almost weaned, I could see which torsion would be better for the long term, those of the lax torsion, had a normal growth, the only thing that indicated me that they were delayed in their growth was their little interest in meeting mares being happy playing with their brothers, those of the medium torsion had a slight delay in their growth, having sharper voices than their other brothers and a slight decrease of the testicles. Moving on to the intense torsion group, these had a more marked decrease in size, being 40-45% smaller than the lax torsion group, presenting a more androgynous aspect with voices similar to those of the females and a more stylized body.
in the end (almost) all the foals reached final growth to adulthood at 4 months with no serious problems other than the above mentioned. no trauma from lost bundles.
The only one that did not reach adulthood was the one with the rupture, he died much earlier at 2 weeks of age due to necrosis that became sepsis.
at the end they said goodbye to their mother and i promised her to go to good homes (i really put them in a box and suffocated them with the exhaust pipe of the car, but that is something that remains between us).
i took this idea to kennels, fluffmart and shelters. although some saw it as unnecessarily cruel, many adopted it as a cheaper and less traumatic alternative.
They named it “Mario chacon spay/neuter technique” which I find confusing because they named a spay/neuter technique after me and the fact that my last name is cachon and not chacon, but the pain is forgotten with the monthly check for the use of my discovery.
