By virtue of having a relatively fast reproduction cycle and birthing multiple offsprings, i would be inclined to say no. Making cheap imitations would also imply that Fluffies have certain quality that would be even lower on imitations, which sounds like a nightmare; even worse genes, physiology and/or behavior? I shudder at the thought. However, there is always room to explore when it comes to fiction and headcanons; The community thrives on such areas.
I have, however, read about Poopiest_of_babbehsâs MeowPals, which are a commercial answer to fluffies. Iâm not to fond of the idea, but can see why it would be somebody elses cup of tea.
Depends on what you describe as bootleg really - like, these things can reproduce naturally so I donât think any bootlegger would go the extra mile to genetically engineer their own fluffy-like creatures.
I think itâs more likely theyâd just attempt to bootleg fluffmart products such as foals-in-a-can and forever chirpies by mutilating feral fluffies caught off the streets. Also, they might try to sell poopies as good-color foals/alicorns on temu and shein by spray-dyeing them and/or AI-editing horns onto the promotional pictures.
