And being piloted by fluffies, uncoordinated and cant do shit other then stumble and fall apart.

Transformers were drawn from Takara’s Mircochange and especially Diaclone, which were around in the late 70’s early 80’s
Gobots comes from Bandai’s Machine robo, which is from 1983 believe

I had a look.
Machine robo started in japan in 1982.
Tonka brought it to the USA as Gobots in 1983.
Hasbro release Transformers in the USA in 1984.
But Diaclone and Microchange been around for much longer then that.
Diaclone started in 1980 and microman\change ran from 1974 till 1984.
It’s why Soundwave has a copyright mark of 1974.
