Abandoned seafluff (art by Rescue_9)

Neglected, thats why I hate people buying and never take care of their pets no filter or what so ever. And get disgusted? Why even bother buying a pet :grimacing::triumph:

There’s always something so incredibly tragic about seafluffs. Even compared to normal fluffies they are completely at the mercy of their owners. Just imagining the goldfish of future past being able to beg for their lives is a haunting thought.

It seems the main qualification to be a fluffy owner is to be unfit to own any other animal.

Or they are just really dumb or lazy on cleaning the aquarium or fishbowl seen most tragic abuse story is that reason alone killed the fluffy.

The difference between a seafluffy and a Magikarp is that the Magikarp will eventually be a badass.

That’s what sorta inspired this. I’ve been following r/shittyfishtanks for a while, which is where I got the references for the tanks appearence. If seafluffs were real they would definitely get abused and neglected easily. One day they’re a little kids favorite thing, the next day they’re flushed down the toilet.

So pretty for a seafluffy! Come hang out with me and my plants. No poopy wawa, only bubbles and playtime! Seriously, this little guy needs more space and some toys.

I had a beta fish and it needed more space and stimulation for it’s environment. I watched it play with a small pea that a goldfish refused to eat.

Miss ya Blue

I had a beta once, too…It was so funny when I put a mirror in his tank with him. He’d immediately flare up and display, and try to grapple with his own reflection.

Goldfish are the jerks of the fish world. I hate them. They killed my beta Blue.

I had an odd partner who decided to mix the tanks. I was not happy when I came back to find that out.

This person also killed the gold fish in our piped tank system.

Thank you. It was super sad and I was pissed off. I’m starting over on the plant system though so we’ll see what happens

Goldfish aren’t all jerks, but there are definitely some bad apples among them.
When I was younger, two of my goldfish killed and ate the others. Luckily I wasn’t the one to find them, but the description my dad gave me is still pretty gruesome.

Hey, that’s a waste of a good tank!

I think domestic seafluffs are an underexplored subject. There is a lot of potential for fun abuse scenarios, like not maintaining the tank, putting them in various liquids and mixtures, suffocating them by taking them out of the tank, etc

Aww they even have fin rot, it’s a great drawing and it hits close to home. My neighbors left their goldfish when they moved in the middle of winter. I found them swimming in practically slush, goldfish are survivors. Survive little man
