It takes me quite a bit to admit it but damn am I an idiot to have hope for a shit rat like Lady Bell, but the second, the nano second I read how she was remembering each of her babies? Knew what was going to happen.
But damn was it good seeing her getting a bit roughed up.

I’m gonna be real, she’s being WAY too lenient on Lady Bell. “Last Chance” List should be “Mummah-No-Moar” List, she’s proved time-and-time again that she’s entirely incapable of safely being around foals at any given time. Maybe she could be turned into a genuinely good fluffy (which I am rooting for), but babies (especially her own) should be the last thing she should ever be near at this point. Amazing chapter as usual! A bit sad to see Lady Bell’s character development regress so quickly though.

I know Loretta tries to be an ethical breeder and guarantee quality of life for both mare and foals, but she’s probably going to have to cut her losses with Lady Bell and take a leaf out of the fluffy breeding mills book and either take/immobilise her front legs (if not straight up pillow) then mount her on a breeding rack (so the babies can still suckle after birth).
Given that’s Lady Bell’s shown that she’s capable of whispering bestest baby propaganda, Loretta needs to at least gag Lady Bell, if she’s unwilling to remove LB’s tongue or scrape the voicebox out.

yeah but loretta doesn’t know that, so she isn’t going to act on it. she thinks everything was fine until bell got annoyed by one foal being super loud. as far as loretta is concerned, she just needs a bit more work

God, Lady Bell really pulls at the heart strings. First I believed her turnaround and was almost crying when she got her babbehs back. That illustration really killed me, comparing her at the beginning with how genuinely relieved and fucked up she looked. Then, she turns around and starts actively being even worse! At this point she’s trying to traumatize every fluffy around her, I can’t wait to see where this goes.
