Dear fluffy Santa,
This year I want a story. A story about…
A three-legged fluffy, who didn’t make the pity sale in the past few months due to garish/bad colors and overall being a little stupid. Not quite derped, capable of litter training, but not likely to learn many tricks. Not much to redeem being “broken”.
A well-meaning mother of a foster child buys it. The kid has been so surly and erratic, and hopefully having something to take care of and bond with will calm him/her/them (Santa’s choir, doesn’t matter) down. She only thought of this after a bit of musing over a puppy or a guinea pig or something, and is certain this discount sale is a good sign. After all, this way if the toy breaks.. or gets broken… she won’t be out very much money. Bills don’t pay themselves!
A bit of a mixed box ensues. The child is originally hateful towards it, thinking it’s going to steal love from them, bullying it to feel powerful, etc. The mom is overwhelmed trying to manage this behavior and lets it slide a bit. However, the kid has some sort of emotional breakdown and lets out all of their traumatized feelings. The fluffy offers huggies. They patch up in time for the kid to buy it a Christmas present and for everyone to have a pretty okay Christmas.
And if the elves can’t make that, I want to see a grown SBS from the discount bin get used as a target for the local paintball club’s upcoming holiday game.
Uh, Amen. Or whatever you say to Santa.
