I actually have a headcanon where Hasbio isn’t the only company that utilized the genetic experiments train, there are definitely rival companies that before and after Hasbio’s liquidation. Some examples are:
FluffFash: A clothing brand that uses exclusively fluffies and fluffy subspecies, like the flutterfluff, for their materials.
Bandai Geneco: Creators of the ‘living tamogatchi’. Popular among influencers and middle schoolers.
Synth Master: Creators of the ill received Hatchifluffs(discontinued for several reasons) and after a scandal when a whistleblower exposed them for the animal abuse involved in the attempts to create living PAW Patrol characters, they were immediately shut down and liquidated.
Fluff-a-Farms: An agricultural ranch that specializes in the breeding of fluffalos to make up for the dangerous decline in cattle production. The meat and milk is a noticeably lower quality than real beef and milk, but it’s a perfect substitute in the current global circumstances.
@Poopiest_of_bebbehs has four companies I really love, though only two of them work on fluffy adjacent creations.
Synth Rio: creator of Nyan Paru aka Meow Pals. A biotoy recreation of Hello Kitty, very popular in Japan, very niche in America.
Frost Co: A Siberian company run by a biochemist that used to work on/create bioweapons for the Russian government that bought to IP to Fuzzies after nobody wanted to buy them due to their reputation with Cleveland. Repurposed and modified to work as a biotool for rentable fluffy extermination. They also dabble in other experimental genetic processes, such as cloning body parts for medical advancements.
@PonePone also has a company called Biophallus: Creators of XXLs. Often advertised primarily as a living sextoy, but can be custom ordered to have more sfw jobs/purposes.
