I think you make an excellent additional point that doesn’t necessarily contradict mine. Certainly, food security is an important issue, and one folks can at least take steps to work towards on their own or as a community.
I think @Eded_ted’s Chicken Fluffy would be a lot of fun for the idea, although it is quite delightfully silly 
and thus I don’t think workable for all stories
