Something tells me that these two started as childish rivals, became a couple, had a nasty break up and are now much more bitter rivals. Also, I think the Witch Bride gifted Cassandra that particular plot of land when they were together, but Cassandra didn’t give it back after things went south, hence the current squabble.

Witch Bride’s area is where once her town was. The border was made cause Cassandra purchased that area as sanctuary.
Witch Bride just pissed and wanted the whole forest for herself. And jealous cause Cassandra has a face and she doesn’t due to the curse she can only disguised temporarily.
