Random fact, mantids can not over eat. After getting their fill of food, they will drop their prey, sometimes with it still being alive. If they accidentally over eat they can easily puke it back out. Judging by the fluffies size, it will survive the first attack and be left to die.

Yeah, I know, my cat didn’t walk away the winner but it made it out alive at least… Still gives me nightmares.

Oh gosh, I didn’t even notice all of those antennae. That poor little dude.
Realisticly this isn’t the proper set up for mantids but oh boy, for a fluffy story it can be just right.
