It ticks most of the boxes. But you can spin into various subgenres or tangential ones. I would probably put it in the camp.
For me keeping him alive is just cruel, because in the long run heâs bound to suffer.
I know a lot of you will disagree, mostly because @OtherCoraline is drawing and developing this character as a âcute and lovableâ one. But from a colder and more realistic point of view, he will never have a normal life as a fluffy and is incredibly high maintenance.
He wonât ever be able to run and play with other fluffies, will have to deal with other fluffies being mean to him (not every fluffy would do this, but there will always be the assholes just like with people), wonât be able to get a mare to reproduce with (unless his owner is in the mood for holding him in place while he fucke her), and to be pretty honest, in a situation that he needed to run away to safety, he would die in a heartbeat.
I can see why you guys choose Alive and Hugbox, we all love to root for the underdog, and there is some enjoyment in seeing one of the shitrats getting a good life despite everything that happens to him.
All in all, @OtherCoraline is doing a great job, and I will keep my eye out for the ending.
And who knows? We can always dream with all the endings being presented to us.

THE PEOPLE DEMAND WORSTEST HEART HURTIES FOR GOOD BABY
The council has decided. His fate is death.
Or is it?
KILL KILL KILL
âŚOh God, what did we do?
(He said, voting for dead sadbox.)
Iâm honestly not sure.
Iâm thinking of stuff like the various versions of Dragonball, Yu Yu Hakusho, Eye Shield, Food Wars, Naruto, Bleach, Hikaru No Go, Torino, etc. I donât even know everything Iâve read/consumed to this point.
I remember seeing the stuff back in the late 80âs and throughout the 90âs growing up here in Hawaiâi. In the mid 2000âs Shonen Jump came to the USA officially and Iâd read it. A lot of it was battle manga but there were others genres too.
Common themes are friendship and family, rising to meet challenges, self improvement, etc. While simplistic and formulaic in many regards itâs also comforting in that regard. Like a familiar story retold for the 100th time. You generally know whatâs going on, but itâs the way itâs told that matters.
So for me seeing him try and fail but only to try again is what Iâd hope for. He doesnât have to have the greatest life or some Deus ex machina event. But he can fight to have a decent one.
And, appropos for the genre, he can still die but on doing so transcend some limit or expectation that was placed on him by himself or everyone else. His life can still have meaning.
I suppose my second vote wouldâve been for dies but hugbox.
Nuclear power lil camp kaiju
He only needs one limb to manage wheels.
None at all on a mechanical skateboard. Theyâve whipped that shit up for dogs before. You just need a local engineering nerd. They always seem to appear once something in need gets posted online.
Plus, Fluffy biology. Shave off the scar tissue, stick some new legs on the stumps with biogel. Just gotta make sure they are facing the right way, and try to match the toe bones under each hoof so the âthumbsâ are on the inside.
If it was anything other than âturn into char sui,â âdim sumâ or âfried riceâ Iâm gonna be very sad.

Iâm hungry. Time for a snack.
The skate part doesnât change all the problems I listed, but it would indeed give him some kind of independence. So you could give him the skate and watch as the cruelty goes up a notch every time he falls, the skate gets stuck on the smallest of pebbles, or other mean fluffies do their best to get him out of the skate to have fun with it since a âdummyâ doesnât deserve it.
The new legs part is assuming that is possible in Coralineâs cannon since not everyone likes the idea of just sticking limbs back. I know it was done in Henrietaâs tale, but maybe Lil Champion is not on the same cannon/universe. BUT if that is possible on this cannon, then yeah, just buy new limbs for him.
I for one donât like the idea of fluffies getting limbs back, it takes away the real weight of losing a limb.
Glad to be of help
Your not wrong.
Votes and sees the poll ohâŚwow I actually was expectingâŚwe are many.
What if there was a bad smarty also with just one leg chasing Champ and it takes all day until he finally caches up and tries to forever sleepies him, but canât do it the first time because he has no legs to support, so he keeps giving stompies until the deed is done?
Do you think a fluffy have a big enough attention span to carry out such a long chase?
If their smart enough, hence âsmartyâ. Besides, even if he forgets, looking at the no leggie babbeh will just make him chase again
even the smartest smarty will get bored after so many forevers (5 minutes in human time)
also i donât think that a dummy no leggie smarty can be such a hellgrimlin
