So if he meets another fluffy, would he just freeze up or would he be like Jitters and be abit jumpy and awkward?
Depends on how much default programming that FluffyChimera’s/UndercoverPallasCat’s fluffies have. It could be as simple as ‘nyu fwend?’ then they learn how to play almost straight away, much like Slick from Poopie Dreams, who’s equally maladjusted socially.
If it takes more than that, then Rainbow’s still a weaning foal, so there’s still time for proper socialisation, although regular trips to visit his siblings and the rest of Loretta’s herd are a necessity. This should be much easier now that Ladybell is gone - for continuity, Raising Rainbow Ch.8 happens at the same time as Bad Mummah Ch.14.
@FluffyChimera Jitters really needs to set up a child account for Rainbow to stop his recommended videos showing up on that feed. I remember discovering that little feature, when my Youtube recommendations and Google Search autosuggestions from my PC, started showing up on on the Youtube/Google apps when browsing for child appropriate things on the family Playstation (and quickly pressing back before either the children or my wife saw).
I love the last picture of crying Rainbow and still how tiny he is.

Depends on the fluffy he meets! If they’re friendly, he’d most likely be awkward and jumpy
Couldn’t have put this better myself! I like the idea that the mental/behavioral programming by Hasbio was stronger in the original generations of fluffies, but as they got out and bred, the artificial programming had weakened and become less of an instinctive factor and more of a necessity needing to be taught by the parental figures(which of course, has varying results due to how unreliable fluffies are)
That’s a brilliant idea that I’m sure Jitters will learn with Loretta’s help! He definitely won’t be making this same mistake again!

True, and with encouragement from Jitters and Loretta, he’s probably get some needed socialization
Though also wondering if Trixie’s still an issue. She went balistic when Jitters entertained the idea of adopting Rainbow, imagine him just come in with the foal calling him daddeh

Aww, poor Rainbow. Jitters hopefully has learned the importance of setting up a children’s account ( or possibly a fluffy safe account- I’d imagine the world with fluffies would provide a market for setting up things both for kids and fluffies, especially ones to filter out things like ads for fluffy ‘removal’ services on fluffy-safe accounts etc ). TV, online or traditional, or Youtube videos are NOT the best way to entertain young children and fluffies for any extended period, but sometimes you do just need to make sure they’re in a room and not trying to murder themselves for like, fifteen minutes. If possible.
I do think also Jitters needs to socialize Rainbow ( and himself! ) a lot more. Loretta being more able to handle a baby alicorn in a safe enviroment is a good choice. I think Trixie might be a little less instantly murderous seeing that Rainbow is growing up alright, but if I was Loretta I still wouldn’t leave Trixie and Jitters alone in a room together. Just to be safe. Never know when a switchblade might suddenly appear after all. XD.

I love this story so much - Jitters is trying his best and fixes problems but stuff still happens. Poor Rainbow - hopefully this doesn’t spark anything (lol)
I can’t believe it took a fluffy story for me to realize I never even thought to see if anyone had made videos about the Mystery Flesh Pit!!!
I am very interested to see how Jitters will handle the aftermath of this.
