This looks great so far! I like the talkie foal following you around instead of being on your back, and having detailed info on the babies you pick up is such a good feature.
I’d suggest having the menus not use fluffspeak - too much of that stuff can give people a headache, so it’s best kept to dialogue. Since chirpies can’t speak, they could get a more descriptive text like “it’s a blue chirpy foal, pick it up?”.
My last thought is that there might be better ways to write down the foal inventory. Specifying every foal is on your back and having them take up two lines leads to a lot of repetition and makes it harder to read, like so:
