Sea fluffies?

So what I’m hearing is I should draw more seafluffies.

I like this explanation a lot! I’ve never really understood the idea of seafluffies and aquafluffies being separate species before, but this makes a lot of sense and I am adopting it into my own headcanon.

Probably…or they can instinctively do the knots and slime (a bit like how a typical fluffy instinctively knows certain things thats been programmed into their brains i.e. sketties or their fear of alicorns) but due to fluffy incompetence they are ofc blind and rely on their other senses to navigate can lead to them knotting around a sea fluffy to hug them but stupidly killing their friend as the slime could happen when their excited too…like hair-trigger scardie poopies but its slime and a herd or family of these could lead to a chain reaction of a HUGE cloud of slime. Maybe also a blind hagfish fluffy (Probably the foals moreso are prone to doing this) could mistake a sea fluffy’s anus as a crevice to hide in…

Also worst case scenario if more hagflish fluffies hig one another they might tsngle themselves or become like a hagfish rat king.

I sort of like the idea of a big rat king slimeball, but as an intentional structure that the fluffies create to keep themselves safe, like a herd or a fluffpile. I’m also imagining them moving as a mass, like a hideous kaleidoscopic amoeba.

Yeah almost like mimicking an octopus vaguely :octopus: in a slimy phalanx formation XD

I like that idea…especially when sea fluffies might be moronic and try to bully them thinking they are sea poopie monsters or an odd form of sea spaghetti lol only to meet a slimy demise lol

They aren’t? Sorry, I had thought they were another subspecies.

Puffy griffins are a separate bioengineered creature. They’re not even commonly used anymore, mostly being a holdover from when we were more tied-in with MLP.

Gotcha. I assumed they were more closely related because my mental image of them is closer to gr1m_1’s interpretation of them, which makes them look way more like a fluffy subspecies.

They’re based off sea ponies from G1 MLP. the main depictions of them are with flippers, hippocampus, and seahorse. The seahorse variant was the first to be depicted, but the flippers have proven to be the most consistently popular. Other than that, they’re just fluffy ponies adapted to water.

I had so many of those things. They floated like they’d been derped, but I loved ‘em. Back in the wild, wacky ’80s, I had something like 100 MLP’s. Mom got rid of them forever ago. I kinda miss them.

I tend to think of them as basically seal-fluffies, but that’s coming from a guy who never had much use for them in writing. Replace stumpy legs with stumpy flippers, and that’s about the size of it.

Let them breathe underwater, if it’s funnier. Or not, if it isn’t!

So glad they only exist in the ocean, lmfao.

Broken by all? Sure, fine. But can you imagine seeing this fucker outside, harmonizing and threatening you with its numerous fucking mouths? I’d surrender my various pastas so fucking fast.
