Coming back to this post a few months later, I think fluffy abuse is appealing in part because fluffies are intelligent enough to understand why humans punish them (well sometimes lol) but not smart enough for us to sympathize with them too much. But also not dumb enough either. They are these walking talking neon-colored toy horses cynically designed to cater to the fickle whims of the masses, and we hate them for that. They are basically toddlers stuck in this perpetual state of infantilism they’ll never grow out of and we hate that about them too. We had to grow up and develop while they just sit there in their saferooms babbling on about huggies and sketties while we’re forced to go out and work to keep this whole show we call society rolling. I can understand why someone in-universe would feel resentful towards these feeble minded equines.
