Man, after how much people hyped up the ending⌠âThe seemingly nice herd is made up of psychopaths who mutilate their captives and groom all their young (including the poopie foal who suffered injustice earlier on) into becoming cruel rapistsâ is not what I wanted or expected.
This is ⌠not an ending I particularly like. It just shreds any kind of sympathy for the other characters, like the poopie baby - he retroactively deserves to have been starved and mistreated now, because heâs become a rapist whoâd enf another fluffy to death. The brown alicorn deserves everything that happened to Tangerine and more because he grooms foals, tortures those who cross him, and permanently mutilates/cripples someone for the crime of âtrying to run away and die in the coldâ.
Itâs just ⌠deleting every even slightly good character in the whole story in favor of torture porn. That âI just wanted them to suffer and didnât think about the logic or implicationsâ statement from last page really shows here.

The way I see it, itâs the cycle of abuse with the abused becoming an abuser. Or the original author was too focused on punishing Tangerine that they didnât realize they made everyone else look worst by comparison, extremely disproportionate punishment is the core of âjusticeâ abuse

Well I can tell you didnât read the og story if this caught you off guard. Yeah dude there are no âgoodâ Fluffies in my stuff. Especially with ferals. Granted Iâm not nearly as proud of this story as I used to be with it being one of my early pieces.

Honestly it makes sense to me- if fluffies can be classified as an invasive species, it follows that there would be similar fines in existence for releasing fluffies into the wild as there would be in some states for releasing other exotic animals. And most punishments involving abuse of animals usually are financial ( along with often seizing the mistreated animal ) with only some light prison in especially large or sensational cases. So I often head canon that many areas of the US would have fines for allowing intact fluffies to roam, or possibly even owning an intact fluffy without a special breeding license. I havenât seen too many stories lately using the idea, but I recall several earlier stories referencing the possibility.
(I say some areas both because many other authors have divergent head canons, but also because, to those who donât live in the US, weâre actually more like 50+ different countries in a trenchcoat, so what would be reasonable in say, New York, would be considered ridiculous in Idaho, etc. )

Yup, I wasnât aware of the story until the comic started (I donât read too many stories unless the tags grab my attention) and considered reading it but figured there was no point in spoiling myself beforehand when there was a comic coming out. Just generally surprised itâs such a coveted ending!
And despite being an early story itâs still something to be proud of - all complete stories are, even if you look back at them later and say âoh ⌠I shouldnât have done that this wayâ.

Well you definitely did a great job making every single character (except Grape and any non-rapist foals) extremely hateable.
If only rapist groomer smarty got his dues too, though.

As I said in a previous chapter. His sins finally caught up to him. Tangerine had it good compared to other fluffies, he ruined it and runs away. The little shit miraculously survives the wilds, and found a mate, but was stupidly shortsighted and was a typical âpoopie colorâ hating fluffy, leading to his final fate.
Funny. The farmers snapping Tangerineâs neck would have been a better end for the shit in hindsight XD
