I keep looking at this and wondering when the cyanide will kick in. (I assume this is Prussian blue.)

Could be worse. back in the day there was RADIUM based paint that glowed and was unhealthily radioactive because they used radium-226 to make it. yeah they didn’t know it was toxic back then and the effect on the female workers that painted over a 100 (minimum) watch faces daily were grim.

Sad thing is, they DID know it was toxic. The very management that told the Radium Girls to shape brushes with their lips, never went near the paint without lead smocks. The girls were considered disposable.

Capitalism was just as merciless then, and during the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire, as it is now.

(Most of the women at Triangle were Jewish, btw. It’s one reason management didn’t care what happened to them.)
