I never really got why people keep snakes that eat mammals as pets.
The insect eaters, sure. That’s useful and not too disturbing. Odd to keep them indoors where they aren’t doing much good, but fine.
But every instinct says to remove the head or avoid the areas the little fucks are located.
Its not like they have a tradition of helping humanity hunt or have a mystique about them.
They’re just carnivorous vermin.
as a snake owner, i never feed live. always frozen thawed.
please dont call them vermin when fluffies are right there.
Fluffies are mankind’s firstborn sons.
They’re just not finished yet, and the Zeuses keep fucking them up.
Snakes are our old arch enemies that we forgot to finish off or recruit into usefulness.
i take your knee caps.
It’ll be easier to hunt the limbless mongrels from the ground.
Easier to sort out the useful ones too.
im gonna put a coralsnake in your bed
Best anyone can hope for is to take their killer out with them.
nah bruh, don’t shit on snakes just to defend an imaginary pseudo-animal
“buh if they learn to survive in the willderness they will cause a natural disaster which kill all dummeh hummins!!!”
–Thk to himself probably i dunno
What can I say? 2020 kinda broke me.
don’t worry, i understand
My snake has wings!
Welllllllllllll…As a former snake-owner, I’ll have to say I’d much rather have a hedgerow full of snakes than a house full of rats or mice.
In my experience I’ve never met a snake (not even a venomous one) which will actively seek out and attack people. (Wild) rats can, and often will.
But they’re not outside being useful, they’re inside where you have to buy them mice.
Barn cats do the work of mousing, snakes will just die unless that is their natural environment.
That’s my issue. It’s a disconcerting cost, and no benefit.
