A brief guide to fluffy color patterns by Lightvsdark777

yeah this is basically a ripoff of Rescue_9’s guide to fluffy fur colors and patterns so please enjoy

  1. Solid Color- The most common fluffy fur color patterns, accounting for >98% of the total population of fluffies. The fur and mane/tail are typically different colors, though fluffies that have only one fur color (for example, green fur and green mane/tail) are not unheard of. Encompasses melanism, albinism, erythrism (rust-red fur color), and xanthochromism (pale yellow fur color).
  2. Piebald- A piebald fluffy typically has splotches of fur that is a different color from the rest of its body. This extra color is most often white, but it can be any other color as well. This encompasses spots and stripes.
  3. Gradient- A fluffy with gradient fur has fur that smoothly changes to a different color on any area of its body.
  4. Vitiligo- Functions very similarly to how it functions in humans, but the condition causes a large amount of stress in fluffies that have it as well as a sharp drop in self-esteem, with affected fluffies often saying “why pwetty fwuff tuwnin white? Am bad fwuffy? Fwuffy am sowwy if fwuffy am bad!”, “Nu wook pwetty.”, “Fwuffy nu wike dis!”, “Fwuffy nu wan be munstah fwuffy… Huu huu…” among other things. If you own a fluffy that is currently undergoing vitiligo, it is important to reassure them and tell them that while what is happening is unexpected, it won’t stop you from loving them.
