I this one is a little better then the last one but far legs are still wonky and I’m not thrilled with the mane. Also tail is too flat. Any advice on how I can get more ‘pop’ before attempting color and shading would be appreciated.

Actually i think it looks fine, but its head is too big.
Maybe try making its head and face smaller ?

yeah i can see it, now. I was trying to do a more cartoony look with a big head for the sake of expressions but yeah…

I did the head and body separately and then tried to resize and match it up. I wanted the face and head to have some detail but yeah I can see it now that it’s been pointed out.

If big manes are what your into, try to make them look soft. Give him a hair cut, so its personality shows.
Try to define a basis for your foal, mares, smartys, or what ever kind of idea your trying to portray. Everything is valid
