The Alleys slowly but surely filled with immobile, dead, or dying fluffies in all stages of globing. Attracting small vermin, who spread the diseases the rotting bodies had spawned. Streets filled with the little rainbow beasts packed so close together that any vehicles that tried to ram through ended up spinning wheels on the piles of corpses unable to get traction. Emergency services ground to a halt before becoming overwhelmed by the diseases that wracked the city.
Eventually, the city realized its mistake and went around removing or breaking the lights but it was too late by then. The mentally damaged fluffies refused to move from their spots and fell into despair when the pwetty cowows stopped’
After one final grand ‘street cleaning’ and ‘biomass burn’ the streets were finally clear again and this embarrassing chapter of the city faded into obscurity. Blacklights were also banned from all exterior light fixtures within 5 miles of any major city.
