There was an old Chris Morris bit about a journalist who was writing a weekly column about his upcoming suicide — called “Time to Go by Richard Geefe” (worth reading if you wanna google it; it was also repurposed into a sketch on the Blue Jam radio series, “Suicide Journalist”).
Anyway, in that, the journalist does something similar, though it’s a lamppost instead of a Ron Paul parasail.
