oh gosh this is epic! I love seeing handmade books! its a wonder to see ones story go from imagination to a story to a physical book!
You can be very proud of yourself!
I have a plans to do more. With how much we, as a community, have lost due to site changes in the past I think itās important to get some of these preserved in a form that canāt be destroyed by a server going down.
Iām thinking of doing it in silver! The black was just because that was theoretically what I could do myself with my home printer.
Our stuff is as important as ārealā books. The only difference is that we make it for free.
God youāre just spitting facts in an unbelievable way
If the Marquis de Sade were alive in our times, he would write in this place
I mean have you seen the shit that gets published?? Thereās some straight up garbage out there, Iāve read traditionally published books way worse than most of the shit on the site.
Shut up and take my money!
Seriously, id buy this if my ass wasnāt broke.
Maybe Iāll open up commissions at some point.
I will be releasing a printable version (for you to bind yourself) and an ebook of everything I format though!
This is lovely!
Awww! (HUG)
Do you plan on selling these, or are they just for yourself. Iād love to commission one!
maybe once i have a little more experience i may. I have made literally two so i do not feel comfortable doing this for money!!
there would also be the issue of what Iām binding, if it was a story that wasnāt mine Iād need permission from the author to do it for money, it feels wrong to profit off someone elseās work. Making these for myself is one thing, selling them is a whole 'nother.
Yay! Canāt wait
Beautiful work, and professionally done! Bookbinding is a dying art,so glad to see you doing it
This is so cool! Iāve also bound a few books (blank ones, for me to write in by hand). Like you said, itās really fun and not as difficult as youād think. Itās definitely something more people should try out.
But binding Fluffy stories, or other online stories, is such a good idea, and a great way to preserve them! I also prefer physical books and media in general. Itās just a different feeling when you have something that you can actually hold in your hands and put on your shelf.
I also love the details of the small illustration on the title page, and the purple leafy paper on the inside of the cover.
Thank you! I made some mistakes with this one, but Iām pretty happy with it!
You def should bind some of your favorites, we godda preserve these stories!
