I didn’t think I’d post here, but despite being here for less than a month I felt like I had to create something. And because I’m a sucker for hugbox comics, good mummahs and birth stories, I ended up making this in a manic frenzie. If the art style on Lady and her babbehs are inconsistent thats because I have no idea how to draw fluffies, and had like 30 tabs open with various posts as refrences.
I don’t know if I’ll go back and properly colour/make this but for now I’ve satisfied my brain itch.
Lady may not have wanted to be a mummah originally (I imagine her special friend did and she agreed, only to regret it once he choose not to return, leaving her behind), but upon seeing her beautiful babbehs she fell in love with them no matter what other fluffies might say about babbehs like them, in a way, her love for them goes against her own programming (which I like to think is because she intially didn’t want babbehs, but felt spiritually connected to them upon sight, unlike other mummahs and daddehs that want babbehs only to kill on sight their “ugly” or wingie and pointy babbehs”).
Also yes her name is based off Lady Bell by @FluffyChimera I couldn’t think of a better name (and your art is phenomenal and made a large impact on my pysche so yeah).
This is really nicely planned out. Shows just how hard it is for these lil guys to give birth with no help and the possibilities of having issues during.
Thank you so much! And for real! Without that “special voice” and Lady’s own determination, she or her babies could’ve died in the proces! (I know in real life there’s more complications and help needed when babies are born either legs first, or are too large but I really wanted a hugbox birthing story!)
Honestly, these cities really need new policies, with more vets or actual fluffy experts to patrol alleyways for incidents like these! (Plus we can reduce the amount of pollution from dead bodies and ensured ferals are spayed and neutered afterwards!)
She’d do well if she was adopted by someone who has a lifestyle or hobby centered around rehabing/fostering fluffies and foals, because she’d probably be a good midwife. Since being a soon-mummah, and giving birth, wasn’t an easy experience for her, she can sympathize with other mares who might struggle, and since she loved all her babies maybe she could encourage other mares to not freak out if/when alicorns are born. Positive peer pressure.
Ooooooo I can totally see it!!! With the right help ans training she could help other lonely mares in the streets or in shelters and coach them their pregnancy and find them and their babies homes too!!!
Aaaa thank you!!! I’d REALLY love to colour this and everything soon… But, unless someone else wants to take up the task in the meanwhile, the wait time might be a while (think maybe a few months until I can get life to calm down juussstt a little bit )
Maybe if I have time I might drop a coloured drawing of lady and her babbehs but yeah for now the non fluffy filled world is my priority!
