About the fluffly resistance

Ok, I want to make this quickly.

There is something that I never undertand about the Shit Rats. I know that it depends of each headcannon but should be a [LORE] that we can use here. I mean, Fluffies are very easy to hurt, incredible easy, extremely easy to hurt, but, at the same time, kill them takes a lot of time.

I read a lot of abuse comics and in all of them, Fluffies ended cut in haft, with their organs smashed againt the floor, poisoned, burnt, almost drowned, with a lot of fresh wounds, no eyes, mouths or any sensorial organ, crashed, basically oblitared from existence, but the only way to kill them quickly is, like a zombie, smashing their heads and brains, because otherwise, their will be die but it will take a long of time and they will suffer a lot in the middle time. Even poisoned, Fluffies look like to have an agonic and painful death, even when probably the poison in a quick effect one. And obviosly we can’t leave out the “eating alive” comics.

At the end, how really resistence are those things, and are they the universe’s boxing bag?

The amount of pain and trauma a fluffy can withstand is directly proportional to how funny it will make a story. It has no bearing on reason and trying to make it relative to how they survive literally any other experience in their life is a pointless endeavor. They are as durable as they need to be when a story needs them to be that durable.

I agree with Ace, but that depends on each person’s Lore and Headcannon, since, for example, in mine, the only reason why the Fluffys can withstand immense amounts of physical damage that would be impossible for a living being to survive was implemented by Hasbio as a way for the Fluffys to be more durable in front of children as a Biotoy. But at the end of the day, this is a Story of Abuse as a form of entertainment for those who like the genre.

A fluffy will adhere to whatever rules will cause as much suffering.

If a fluffy is in the hands of an abuser you could take it apart a rusty teaspoon at a time and the fluffy would survive well after you scooped its brains out.

If a fluffy is the beloved pet of a happy family it will die face down in a natgeo magazine featuring an article about deep sea exploration.

They are 100% the universes punching bag, both resilient and fragile as hell. It depends entirely on the situation.

whatever makes for a more entertaining story is the correct answer 8 times out of 10.

I look at Fluffies as having low health but high endurance.

They can take a lot of punishment but all it takes is that one action to break through their defences and they will immediately die

If you’re looking for an in-universe explanation, then my one is that it’s an intentional design choice by Hasbio to get more money from the customer.

They’re incredible fragile so that the owners have to take the fluffy to the vets more often, or buy more medical products/treatments, but can survive more extensive injuries so that the owners are encouraged to bring them to vets for more severe (and hence more expensive to treat) injuries, rather than just putting the fluffy out of its misery for free at home.

That’s not getting into the planned obsoleteness aspect to encourage turnover and get recently former owners to buy a new fluffy, since they already have all the accessories and food (i.e. sunk cost fallacy).
