Alternate Aesops:The Toughie and The Fluffy by Karn

Once while gathering food, a young fluffy accidently stumbled upon a slumbering toughie. As she woke, the purple unicorn was angry. Standing up and towering over the small blue earthie, she angrily questioned the insolent fluffy who dared to interrupt her rest.

“Widdwe fwuffy! Why yu wake toughie!”

Whimpering slightly, the small earthie looked up at the angry toughie, emitting an audible gulp as he thought of a response.

“Fwuffy sowwy! Su Sowwy! P’wease nu huwties fwuffy! If toughie wet fwuffy gu, fwuffy hewp toughie if hew ebah nee’ hewp! Pwomise!”

Amused at the thought of such a small fluffy ever being able to help her, the toughie smiled and laughed at the fluffy.

"*giggles Otay…Otay…toughie wet yu gu.

The fluffy ran from her sight as she laid back down to return to her slumber, the little fluffy quickly passing from her thoughts.

It was days later when a small fire had broken out near the toughie’s nest. It had caused a mass of brambles and branches to fall onto the entrance of her nest, blocking her inside.

“HEWP!!! SABE TOUGHIE!!!”

Coughing from the smoke, the toughie tried desperately to get past the burning debris, only for the heat of the flames to stop her each time.

Outside, the small fluffy saw the burning branches and brambles. Grabbing the end that wasn’t yet alight, he pulled, as hard as he could. It took him what seemed like a forever, but he cleared the entrance of the next, saving the toughie.
