Not pleasure, though I like the idea of casual cannibalism. Like the idea, that’s it’s just sort of a normal thing that might happen and most reasonable people would just treat it as only slightly worse than like bad poopies. No one besides the baby would be emotional about it not the owner or the mummah

Yep. It’s basically normalising the whole atrocity/desperation of fluffies eating fluffies and…also making something needlessly edgy and, in my opinion, not to insult anyone’s creativity, somewhat barf worthy at times.
I am a…traditionalist, really. Weirdfluffs beyond Jellenheimers and maybe extra magical unicorn fluffies are as far as “adapted” or “mutated” flurries sit in my head canon. Fluffies that go out of their way to be cannibals (and doesn’t have it conflict with their programming) doesn’t sit with me.
Fluffies either being desperate enough to eat one another, or being forced to, is the only situation in which I see it occuring, with serious traumatic consequences. Do remember they were made to be pets, feral or not.
But, each to their own.

I hate most oc species and shit it’s why I wrote edgefluffs. Like why would a godlike demon be killing fluffies if the average person with a baseball bat can?

100% with you on this one. I think desperation cannibalism can be done extremely well. Casual cannibalisms? That’s almost 100% associated with OCs and try-hard special breeds/fluffs. I really haven’t seen it done well at all. Making a cannibalistic fluffy is like making pegasi that can actually fly or alicorns that can use horn magic. Fluffies are pathetic…
Any attempt to make fluffies less feeble or more capable just feels like an attempt at making fluffies less like fluffies. They are walking talking plush dolls. Them surviving out on their own without human intervention is almost as jarring as their creation story itself. Their utter dependence on humans is a defining trait for them (and also why hugbox works, because fluffies are utterly held at the will of the humans around them, so any kindness shown to them is actual altruistic kindness with no ulterior motive).

I like fluffies who are cannibals more than the swirly-eyed cannibal fluffy, tbh. And yeah, I have to admit being kind of a snob about the other types of fluffies. I pretty much tend to draw the line at micros and sea fluffies, without having much use for Fluffalo, Cowfluffs, &c.
This isn’t calling anyone out, just stating my own personal tastes. If you like your fluffies looking like other herd animals, more power to you.

I find it disinteresting. It’s fine for folks who like the idea but it does nothing for me. Same with say, plant fluffies or bee fluffies. Or jellies.
Not my thing and I generally skip things that feature them.

I think it needs to be used sparingly as an act of utter desperation or the ultimate torment; or as comedic relief when say, a mare eats her foals because her owner is 10 minutes late with her kibble.
I don’t like the concept of a separate race of Fluffies that survive solely on eating other Fluffies. Maybe 1 like Jezibell to be a sort of Fluffy boogeyman, but not a whole race.

He has a point chirpies are a lot more like real animals than fluffies. So to me abusing them feels less like fucking with cartoon characters and more like doing it to baby guinea pigs. It’s why I tend to keep any foal death quick and painless.

I like the cannibal trope only when it’s done well. Instead of a whole different species, it’s just a fluffy version of Wendigo psychosis where the fluffies feel remorse but also a draw to consume another fluffy, gaining the preys trust before killing and eating them, but feeling remorse for their actions.
“Fluffies eat fluffies cause EDGE” is boring and uninteresting. Craft reasons, fill plot holes.
