>“You know what? Fine! You can have your legs back!”
>Get your needle and thread and fish Apricot’s leggies out of the garbage
>“Yay! Weggies!” cries Apricot, then he wrinkles his nose, “Huu huu! Weggies nu smeww pwetty”
>You hold Apricot down and sew the legs onto his stumps
>He cries the whole time
>Eventually all four legs are attached
>“There, you have your legs back! You happy now!?”
>Apricot has a huge smile "Yay! Apwicot su cited! Gonna wun an pway and gib daddeh bestes huggies, an… Why weggies nu muve!?
>Apricot rocks himself frantically from side to side, trying to get up, “Apwicot nu feew weggies! Weggies nu move! Weggies nu move!!”
>“Enjoy your legs” you say, placing the still panicking Apricot back down on his blanket, between his smell tray and litterbox.
>When you check in on Apricot the next morning he is moping
>“Dummeh weggies nu move…”
>You cuddle with him for a bit then leave for work
>The next day Apricot is in even worse spirits and his legs are in even worse condition
>You try not to touch them during your daily cuddles
>The day afterwards all Apricot can do is cry because the legs stink to high heaven
>“Huu huu huu! Weggies nu smeww pewtty! Weggies nu smeww pwetty!”
>You decide to forego cuddling with him today
>Over the next few days Apricot’s legs become covered overed with green mold
>Then they decay into putrid slime
>He cries for daddeh huggies but you’re not touching those legs
>The stumps are badly infected and oozing pus but you’re not taking Apricot to the vet until the legs are completely gone and he knows they’re gone
>Finally the legs fall off again because there’s nothing left but bones
>Wide areas surrounding Apricot’s stumps are inflamed and oozing pus
>You bring him to the vet and tell the vet what happened
>“I hear that someone got hurt because he didn’t know that leggies were bad for fluffies” the vet admonishes Apricot as he begins examining him
>It will be a long road to recovery
>End
