Carries him to her warm nest of puppies.

Babbeh falls in the river
Gets soaked and starts freezing to death.
Starts to close his eyes, but sees another mummah fluffy in the distance.
With all it’s strength, trudges it’s way to the Mummah fluffy.
Cries happily as it nuzzles in close for warmth, unaware that the mare has already frozen to death.

Falls in river washes down stream. A human finds him and adopts him, but his legs have to be amputated due to frostbite. Spends the rest of his life hovering between wan die loop and severe depression.

He found a drainage and went inside its spacious and he found some old cartons but the place it also an air tunnel that cold winds blew in when it gets strong.
Foal end up shivering and died.
Or
He found a broken wooden hole and it was near where steam pass through and its warm and safe for him to settle not getting freeze to death.
