Bio-Still [By BreakingFluff]

==Bio-still==
While the Bio-Oven technique was devoloped for mass production, alongside the milkbag technique, bio-stills serve a different purpose entirely. Bio-stills are essentially a production line for a cornucopia of hormones and enzymes. Many of their products are used in amateur fluffy modification (injecting hormones at various stages of development to affect the finished product, see Mullerian inhibiting factor for a real world example of this process). There have been attempts to develop these for use in human or veterinary medicine [example: insulin], but this has been met with some resistance.

The creation of a bio-still is similar to bio-oven, but the most important part is that the brain stay intact. It can be removed from the body, but functions best when still attatched to the spinal column. Essentially, the fluffy is skinned from the neck up (to prevent complications from fluff growth) and most of its skull is removed. After feeding and respiratory cannulae are installed (bypassing the larynx, so theres no need to surgivally remove or paralyze it), a tank is assembled around its head. Remaining parts of the skull have anchors drilled into them to prevent movement, and a fluid fills the tank to prevent the tissues drying out, or the rare fluffy infection.

It’s brain is then filled with dozens of electrode probes.

The probes are used to stimulate various parts of the fluffy’s brain in order to produce the desired hormones. Various areas are stimulated at seperate stages to allow glands to recharge, essentially creating a stimulation routine for the fluffy (18-24 hour cycle, depending on the desired lifespan of the subject).
Throughout it’s production cycle it’s important that the fluffy stay not only fully conscious, but fully alert. For this reason, it is advised to leave the eyes intact and give it some form of visual stimulation. A mirror is often a simple and effective solution. Injection of simple stimulants is also advisable to prevent the subject from lapsing into unconsciousness.

The various stages of stimulation not only produce different hormones (often collected directly with a tube, or filtered from it’s blood), but also different emotions from the subject, including but not limited to:

  • Pure Agony
  • Crushing Depression
  • Unquenchible Lust
  • Psychopathic Terror (this is also the default state for an inactive fluffy placed infront of the stimulation mirror)

Needless to say, many of these conditions will lead the subject to enter the wan-die loop. One of the probes is located in the correct location to reset this loop with a small charge. The low voltage required for this direct stimulation is important, as the wan-die loop typically needs to be reset every 15 minutes.

Damn son, are you in biomed?

No. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Seriously though, I’m just a highschool dropout.
