For fluffies with truly unsightly colors (ex: shit-brown instead of a nicer chocolate or caramel), they are sold to pet stores to be turned into feeders for snakes and some other reptiles and amphibians (or fish like Oscars, in the case of feeder fishfluffies).
Breeding of real vertebrate animals as âfeedersâ has been abandoned in favor of more humane ways of feeding carnivorous pets, with feeder fluffies being the most popular.
Due to fluffiesâ innate weakness, they are unable to harm even delicate animals like snakes, making it safe for them to be fed live to them once drained of any excrement.
Other feeder fluffies are simply pre-killed and sold as frozen food.

Backyard breeders will either sell them as feeders or just kill them themselves and ground them up to feed to their other fluffies (sometimes grinding them up while theyâre still alive).
