Tenerife. Has anybody? Anybody hear of Tenerife? No?
In 1977, a dumbass smarty crashed two 747s into each other on Tenerife. Does anybody know how stupid a smarty is? I mean, they’re way dumber than a normal fluffy, and we’re talking about a Boeing 747. Nearly 600 people died on Tenerife. But do any of you even remember it at all? Any of you? I doubt it. You know why? It’s because people move on. They just move on. And we will too.
We will move on, and we will get past this. Because that is what human beings do, we survive, and…we survive and we overcome. Yeah. We survive. We survive and…Okay?

I remember that one. Wasn’t there also a Russian pilot that crashed his plane because the artifical horizons between the western and ex-Warzaw Pact countries were different & the dumb-ass hadn’t bothered to train himself in the new one (and lied about knowing)?
yep and another plane crashed because the korean pilots didn’t know the difference between miles and km and ANOTHER plane crashed because the pilots didn’t know the difference between liters and gallons, or a weight measure, i think they actually use weight not volume
And another Russian plane crashed because the copilot didn’t know how land while managing a throttle mismatch and the captain was too drunk to fly.
