Putting a thermometer in your butt is no biggie. Well, as long as you make sure it doesn’t get lost in there. 
Depends on the size of the thermometer, how far it goes, and if you break it inside.

I thought it thought it was sick because it measured its temperature. Or it was lying like what little kids do.
Remember they are very sensitive and fragile anything can be considered unpleasant for them. Side note I would say sorry daddy did It wrong it needs to go in you mouth hopefully its covered in shit yea your out a thermometer but its worth it in my book
