If they have a crystalline structure, that implies that they will shatter if you hit them with the right resonance frequency and high enough amplitude.
I’d advise not taking them to J-pop concerts as crystals tend to have high resonance frequencies (quartz’s is 32768 Hz, which is right at the very limit of human hearing).

I like the idea, Their mane and tail is made of cubic zirconia breaking point / wear and tear would be the same, additionally their bodies the flexible glass is is more for movement sake so they can bend a leg without it cracking but it say scratched, hit or broken with enough force that would do it, not sure what frequency would actually shatter them apart, does make me think over more lore for them.

I haven’t figured out the full details but the same way, One-way glass works also known as a two-way mirror or half-silvered mirror, works; by regulating the amount of light that passes through it, additionally the way a glowing exit sign reads correctly on both sides with a thin metallic sheet layer between so the reflections make it look that way, internals work in a way of converting the food to poop like crystals growing inside them same as how the mama’s have liquid gallium inside them they use to feed the babies, same for the other parts for the males but the other stuff so it’s not all seen, hence the semi transparent effect. = )

Can these fluffies have their bodies chiseled and sharpened for combat/self defense purposes?

I’d assume so. They’d make for a pretty decent glass-canon battle fluffs.

I completely misunderstood this and somehow read this as battle fluffs launched out of cannons.
Now I want to see crystal fluff foals used as cannonballs.

For the most part yes hypothetically if you sharped the hooves it would work like a sharp point of glass, the mane and tail is already hard fixed as cubic zirconia so that may be harder to change shapes unless styled when young as soon as they are adults the mane and tail solidifies permanently, so you could technically style the young ones mane or tail as spikes too and keep it that way as an adult for good
