Chanukkah starts Sunday. I don’t even have my lights up. No clue where the chanukkhia is, never mind candles. I have a bag of potatoes, and barely a desire to even make latkes, which are a delicacy and a joy. This is a minor festival. I can only imagine what Christians are dealing with, what with Christmas being the second most important holiday in the whole religion.
For me it’s meeting family that lives over 300 km away. And the special Swedish Christmas food. Yumm!!
