To my mind, fluffy “discrimination” needs to be something that can be attributed to programming errors or human influence. And yeah, “monochrome= no mane= not fluffy?” is a possible misjudgement.

I’m trying to avoid too much insight into the inner life of the average fluffy because that kind of gives away the game of “sapient or simulated?” which I don’t want a solid answer to. This, of course, doesn’t account for the “freaks” that go against programming in some way.

It is an interesting notion, though. Foals are usually depicted as not having distinct colors in their manes and tails yet, so other fluffies might get confused and assume a monochrome fluffy is some sort of giant baby.

That is a very good point, and it would distinctly change the flavor from psychological abuse to sexual comedy.
