Wait does the fluffy have feathers?
i rather prefer the needle. The feathers look out of place.

The foal’s probably a pegasus, you just can’t see its wings from this angle.
That said, if the human was plucking its feathers, wouldn’t either the hand be thumb up or the feathers pointing in the opposite direction? Seems a bit of a weird angle to be pulling things out that way.

With the feathers, it seems more like the human is intending to tickle the foal, which makes the mummah’s reaction seem like an over-reaction. With the needle, her reaction makes sense.

I think they just plucked its little wing feathers, something the pegasi fluffs are meant to treasure. It helps that your art makes them so appealing and expressive. My heart hurts for the poor little things. You did well.

I’m pretty sure the first picture is the foal about to get tickled, those feathers are otherwise oversized for the feathers of a foal pegasus of that size.
