the hidden betrayal of this is he is training a dog to kill a baby knowing full well that the dog will be put down. mr b wont survive it either and he seems to be genuinely affectionate toward him

Actually no. They’re specifically bred NOT to attack people, and most attacks usually involve some form of incompetence and stupidity on the part of the owner/parent.
Most people blaming them just don’t want to admit their incompetence is what caused the tragedy
It’s complicated. They aren’t inherently aggressive but they have energy and strength. It’s like how a nerd hits less hard than a body builder. Pit bulls are pretty sweet dogs for the most part but if one does bite it does more damage than chihuahuas.
Attacks as a whole are laughably rare, and usually involve some form of negligence and incompetence from the owner, and BSL is usually a placebo/way for people to avoid admitting responsibility (Telling BSL actually INCREASES the amount of violent mailings that occur, meaning people who ban them are literally making it more likely to get children killed.)
