Well, it depends on headcanon, and also how you approach them. Speaking as a hugboxer, I tend to think of them as more than animals and would be more than happy to give them their own room.

So I found the original artwork.
Cottonballs smarty mammuh threw the baby into a foals 4 sketti machine while Edgelord begged her not to. While she ate the skettis, he tried getting his baby back. She, being a total b!tch, pushed him in so she could get more skettis. Luckily, he scaredy pooed in her mouth and she choked to death.
Inside the machine, he was reunited with his baby and they were taken in by the owner of the machine and that’s basically where this comic begins.
