I don’t know; those poor cows being mutilated is already horrifying, and having something jammed up your asshole without anasthesia isn’t anything to be glad about.

Never experienced mutilation but I do agree that rectoscopy & colonoscopy is not pleasant even with anasthesia. 0/10 do not recommend.

I had one completely unmedicated once. It was like being filled with burning, flexible rebar, then having the whole thing ripped out. It’s even worse than a wide awake endoscopy.
